We ventured out of downtown Bangkok last night to see some friends to a place I had not previously heard of until a few weeks ago, called Sammakorn. It took us about 25 mins to reach from Sukhumvit (110B)
Due to getting slightly lost in our taxi when we first arrived, we had a chance to drive around and see just what a lovely place it was. We drove past 2 lakes (I understand there are 5 in total), children’s play areas and many nice looking houses.
We finally reached our destination safely and a lovely night sitting on a veranda of a restaurant called Hot Chilli, enjoying the view with some good Thai food and a nice cold beer or 2 – we felt very far from the skyscrapers we are used to seeing day in and day out!
